Design teams at Egencia don’t just create interfaces, they help build and ship sophisticated travel management products that empower millions of business travelers, travel coordinators, and agents.The Principal Product Designer will manage the EMEA region (Paris and India) of Egencia's global design program.

The EMEA design teams are responsible for shipping best-in-class experiences for our Transportation shopping (Air, Rail, Car/Ground), Checkout, Expense, and Travel Management products.

Individual responsibility for this role is very high, but the impact and reward of leading these teams is huge.Principal Product Designers at Egencia:

Establish expertise necessary to guide and participate in design across small, large, and varying types of product concepts (ex: shopping experiences vs.

profile management, and how the two may or may not relate to one another from a systems and patterns perspective).
Develop a design vision for their product areas, and help their design teams deliver on that mission.
Grow a strong design research program built from quantitative and qualitative resources.
Work with product managers to define product design research and product test roadmaps.
Mentor individuals, and groups of designers, on framing, rationalizing, and defending design decisions.
Possess strong written and spoken communication skills, can articulately describe decisions, and can express appropriate details to their audience.
Lead and facilitate product inceptions, 120-day planning sessions, and other product activities.
Possess a functional knowledge of front-end markup (HTML/CSS).

Expert in product thinking, and can teach UX research methodologies to others.
Self-directed, organized, efficient: able to manage multiple, complex decisions at once.
An effective communicator, presenter, and negotiator.
Develops expert knowledge of industry, competitive, and complementary products.
Delivers results in an agile, iterative design environment.
A bold portfolio of product and interaction design work.
A minimum of 5 years experience as a senior, lead, or manager of design.
Expert in Sketch, Creative Cloud suite, and modern rapid prototyping tools.
