Full Time: Director of Product Management at GitHub in San Francisco

GitHub is looking for an experienced manager to lead our small Product Management group.

We're looking for someone with a passion for mentoring, growing, and leading talented product managers.

You will create an environment for their teams to be successful while making sure their work is executed successfully across the entire Product Management group.

We expect that you come from a design or technical background and have a deep understanding of how great product experiences are shipped.

Like many groups at GitHub, Product Management group is distributed so you should embrace an environment of asynchronous communication.

We expect you to have strong written communication skills and be able to create working relationships with coworkers remotely.

Be both a strong product thinker and effective people manager
Communicate cross-functionally and drive product efforts
Lead and guide the creation of empowering processes
Articulate and influence product strategy
Provide professional growth for all members of the team


*5+ years of relevant work experience, including people management experience
*You have led a team that's shipped something you are proud of
*Extraordinary ability to identify customer problems and execute on a plan to solve them
*Comfortable discussing overall product strategy and tactical goals in the same discussion
*You're passionate about building products that developers love
*Experience with GitHub
