What you’ll be doing…
Managing today’s hybrid cloud IT infrastructure can be complex and chaotic.
As a Software Engineer with ScienceLogic, you will play an integral role in developing the solution by creating clarity and visibility for managing on-prem and multi-cloud infrastructure for some of the largest companies and service providers in the world.
Designing a powerful platform with ease of use in mind
Working to develop the platform that will allow for 3rd party tool integration with our EM7 product
Having discussions with deployment engineers and professional services personnel about customer use cases
Helping engineers extend the platform
Scaling out to massive customer deployments with a hybrid cloud focus (SaaS and on-prem)
Qualities you possess…
You’re a self-starter, a problem solver, a rockstar coder, have excellent time-management skills and are open and collaborative.
Plus you’ve got the following:
BS in CS or equivalent technical discipline.
Have equivalent real world experience? Tell us about it.
5+ years software development experience in Python
2+ years of MySQL (or anther relational database such as Oracle, NoSQL), including exposure to views, stored functions, and stored procedures.
Experience developing in a Linux environment
Experience with message queing systems such as ZeroMQ, RabbitMQ, Active MQ, NSQ or Enterprise Service Busses
Experience developing multi-threaded or multi-process software
Basic working knowledge of at least one of: SNMP, SOAP, RESTful APIs
Strong understanding of software development lifecycle, from product backlog through delivery.
Experience in the area of network or systems management is a major plus.
Prior experience in an Agile environment
You are passionate about delivering high quality, production ready code and believe that teams, not individuals are responsible for software quality.
