As a Data Scientist, you'll help write and optimize algorithms, transform your ideas into production A/B tests and user-facing products and services, work with cross-functional teams as well as other engineers to build impactful new features, and also work closely with our engineering leadership on special projects.
We have the perfect amount of data: meaningful amounts for training, but not so much as to require massive distributed computing.
This allows us to iterate quickly without being bogged down with the typical constraints of massive scale.
This is a full-time position, and you must be able to work in the United States.
You hold a Masters or Ph.D.
in mathematics, computer science, or electrical engineering (or equivalent experience).
You like to know why something succeeded or failed, and generally want to make things better than they were before.
You communicate clearly, quickly, and often.
You speak up when something doesn't look right, and jump and help others when needed.
You also break down and explain complex technical concepts to others.
You get buy in from your team when presenting a new idea.
You're curious, like to play with new tech, but know when to stick with the tried-and-true.
You're a champion for good security practices and you understand that PII and other sensitive information has no place in offline data stores.
You stay organized and prioritize your daily tasks.

Data exploration using Python notebooks to uncover insights and new avenues for growth
Utilize modern supervised and unsupervised machine learning techniques to build new search and discovery algorithms
Design and analyze A/B experiments (performed on millions of users) to optimize algorithms
Impact the livelihoods of thousands of independent creatives around the world
Document processes and thoughts behind design decisions you made
