However, we are looking for someone special: A person who can design great-looking user interfaces and then bring them to life on the web.Can you design and build websites? Are you a person*? Keep reading!Okay, let’s dive into specifics.
In this job, you’ll spend between 78.3% and 91.6% (approximately) of your time creating website design concepts, landing page layouts and other cool looking stuff.
You'll need to revise them a couple times according to feedback and then help get them online for the world to experience.Often, this will be in the form of WordPress websites.
So you should be comfortable creating or customizing WordPress themes, perhaps using page builders (like Beaver Builder), child themes and plugins (like the Toolset suite).
You'll need to be comfortable with a bit of code - mainly HTML/CSS and a cursory knowledge of PHP as its used in WordPress.
However, we have developers on staff to do the heavy lifting.Here’s everything we just said (and a little more) in convenient bulleted list.In this job, you will:Design websites, layouts, app interfaces and more.
They will look terrific.Help to build/code/assemble these terrific things.Use WordPress, a lot.Collaborate with your team members (be nice, sharing is caring, etc.).And you’ll need:Killer design skills.A fundamental understanding of UX/UI principlesStrong ability with Adobe software, particularly Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign.
Knowledge of Sketch, Adobe Comp CC or other similar software is a plus.Comfortability with HTML and CSS.An understanding of responsive frameworks, like Bootstrap or Foundation.Experience with WordPress.
