Headquarters: Silver Spring, MD The business development professional at Aha Media Group has five major objectives: 1. Find leads and pursue them till close or rejection 2. Sell products and services 3. Coordinate with marketing to make sure messages are in alignment (some of the activities below dovetail with marketing) 4. Create thought leadership pertinent to the marketplace 5. Suggest new products and services based on current trends in the marketplace   Are you right for the job? You’ll fit in well at Aha Media Group if: · You have always been called scrappy, creative, an out of the box thinker, or described as “having moxie” · Have experience doing business development for a small and growing business (about 30 people) · Have a relationship-building style · Operate well independently but enjoy collaboration (this is a super must) · Understanding of digital strategy · Know something about complex industries like financial services, hospitals, healthcare or health insurance · Are excited and also relish the challenge of taking a small business to the next level   Here’s what you’ll be responsible to do:   Daily 1. Follow up on any leads (BD) 2. Look for major trends in the industry to share with the executive and marketing teams 3. Maintain our CRM   Weekly 1. Reach out to any leads that are due (BD) 2. Examine analytics; where are people spending their time on the website? 3. Report business development that week, including SOWs signed and open SOWs   Biweekly 1. Plan the editorial calendar with marketing, picking topics that are important to the content and healthcare industries 2. Follow up on open SOWs   Monthly 1. Suggest topics for marketing emails and social media posts 2. Reach out to current customers for referrals 3. Identify solid new leads each month 4. Discuss possible new leads from existing business with PMs   Quarterly 1. Analyze where customers are coming from and how we can use that 2. Suggest 1 piece of thought leadership (eBook, infographic, video and so on) 3. Run trainings for PMs 4. Recommend local networking events related to content and healthcare that PMs could attend   Yearly 1. Identify conferences and thought leadership events to attend the following year 2. Determine future markets and build a strategy around that market3…
